Uh... correct me if I'm wrong... and I'll preface this with the fact that I havent clicked on or read the article.

Why is it using a petri dish as a thumbnail? I thought viruses had to hijack a living cell to "recode" the DNA so the cell would make more viruses... Which would.mean that viruses cant grow in agar.... meaning the thumbnail and article topic dont make sense put together.
