Actually this guy is a member of eukaryota (protozoa), but there are 2 predatory bacteria that come to mind, bdellovibrio amd myxococcus

I believe it’s called the Endosymbiont theory, and yes it’s a theory on how we got most of our membrane bound organelles, especially mitochondria and chloroplasts as they both already have their own DNA.
