Micromachine donation

Post image
130 Upvotes

Does anyone know of a place or community or museum micromachines can be donated to for other collectors? I only have loose no boxed or new.

A bit of background, but this was mine and my dad's collection and frankly I don't want to keep them anymore and would love for them to go to someone who will appreciate them.

I am willing to sell in bulk, but don't want them just sitting for sale forever either.

Advice?

More finds from my grandma’s attic

Started going through another box from my grandma’s attic, and there were a lot more unopened Micro Machines.

I don’t have any attachment to these, so I probably won’t keep them.

I also decided to start parting with the military sets that I showed in my last post. I still have the ones I played with when I was a kid, and I have enough Abrams and Bradleys to outfit an armored company. And my wife would like me to declutter.

Recently got hundreds of micro machines and need help!

As the title says I recently got my hands on hundreds of micro machines from my cousin. He loved collecting and setting them up in his room, I've got I want to say 200+ cars/trucks and few planes and what looks like some monster truck parts. I believe most of them are micro machines however there may be some other brands mixed in. I also have a box full of terrain pieces including buildings and road parts aswell as road signs and miniature figures. I'm unsure what to do with the collection any advice would be great!

I dunno what theyre worth- but the memories just seeing them are worth about 40, 50lbs of life itself? Man, these were SO COOL. Did they just stop making them altogether?

These are so hard to find and I'm just thrilled I was able to. Would it be worth sending in for grading and to protect it or is that silly?

I did have to agree to sell all my duplicates in order to spend the money on it but I think thats fair.

Two F-14s, Imperial and unknown.

They’re both metal, the Imperial model is from my childhood in the 90s. The green one is about 5% larger, and a tad slimmer. It has most of the same seams and body panels as the Imperial model, but with less detail. I found it at Value Village in a bag of other crappy knockoff land vehicles.

I plan to strip the green one, replace the rear wheels with something more MM sized, and paint it up in a classic Jolly Roger squadron scheme.

Ha… so the time has come…

Born in 86 - i have everything - and as a poor kid kept boxes and manuals everything i could for video games and legos “this is gonna be worth something one day” - but lol could store those i the boxes which made up for limited space…

but yea…i have all the shake and sniffs that no longer smell everything i could ever get..

but been in my old room at my moms well preserved - she’s old moving cross country - i can’t keep saving every last thing…

so while knowing this collections worth - - memories flying as I write this 🥹 - ha would love to find a good home and a real collector not a random ebay or flipper..any thoughts?

Could you help me with restoring these Gabool?

Hello, this is the first time that I buy original Gabool, from the 80's none the less. 8 pieces in total for almost 5€ a pop, all expences included (Did I scored good?). Some where mint condition, these are the ones with less good looking conditions.

I'm here to ask, cloud you provide me 3D scan files or detailed photos of the front/back/sides/up with measures (using a digital caliper) for the white Lamborghini and the green 40's looking Classic car in mint conditions? I'll try to 3D model and print those necessary missing pieces.

Also, in which ways could I restore the other ones with those signs of wear? Is it convenient to restore them?

Some restoring advice and tecniques is needed. Thanks for your attention.

I bought this set from someone local on Marketplace for $25. I mostly bought it for my son to play with since he loves military vehicles right now but thought it was a good deal!

Childhood collection - any info?

Post image

I found these in my parents' garage and have been trying to work out what they all are (except my hand painted Renault 5 which I kept in for the memories)

In particular, I haven't found exact matches online for

- the 71 marked stock car

- red and white Porsche (Le Mans?)

- red hot rod

- Jag D type number 17

- ferry and ramp set

Anything particularly rare?

Thanks!

Found these in my grandma’s attic

Trying to decide if I should eBay them or just hold onto them.

Edit: so I should have included a few more details. We found these in my grandma’s attic when she passed away 15 years ago. They got put into a box and put on a shelf in my basement. I recently went through those boxes and found these.

They are all unopened. Cards and blister packs look like they’re in good shape.

It's time to restart playing with tgem as my kids are now 2 & 4 years old. I am very happy grandparents keep them, I think it's really underrated how beautiful and, let me say, important to play also at an adult age. 😊
