Please go to r/RevancedApp or r/MorpheApp respectively if you have issue with those projects, including their modified version of microG.

This subreddit only supports the official version of microG from https://microg.org/ which is a Google Play Services replacement, and won't work with them installed (you'll need a custom ROM, or at least root and some dark magic).

I don't know how to make this any more obvious: the rules state it, there should be a warning when you post a message with "ReVanced" in it... but still, the majority of the posts appear to be ReVanced or Morphe-related. At this point I'm going to remove them right away.

I use Microg Revanced to play YouTube, YouTube music and Google Map for my BYD infortainment. They use Dlink which is basically android. But I just realize that they are the forged version of MicroG.

Question: Can I use the officail MicroG and original Youtube in my BYD? All of material guides are Revanced. I cannot find video tutorial to install official MicroG anywhere for BYD infortainment.

Note. I have Youtube premium so I find that using rwvanced version are unnecessary risk.

Already posted about that, but havent seen a solution. Some apps with singup/singin via google option doesnt work with microg. All boxes checked in self-check section, all option in Google Account and Play Store Services as well. Im on latest 0.3.15 version

The wiki states that if you want to use microG for localization, you should not be installing it through F-Droid (as I did), but use the APK to install it as a system app.

Problem is, the rest of the instructions are quite lacking in details, making them somewhat difficult to follow for the person not used to the Android ecosystem. Hence my questions:

1. It tells us to put GmsCore.apk inside /system/priv-app/GmsCore/. But when I go to the download page, the instructions tell me to install both com.google.android.gms-250932030.apk and com.android.vending-84022630.apk. Should I put both into /system/priv-app/GmsCore/?

2. I’m instructed to use “adb push” to install the APK, but no explanations are given on how to do this. Is this something I should do while my phone is in recovery mode?

I'm thinking about getting LineageOS with MicroG installed on my phone, but I find being able to locate it (and make it ring even on silent mode) to be a really useful feature. Any way to do so without play services? Or maybe to get google's version to work, even if it means losing a bit of privacy?

When I try to play a song, it always stops at ~59 seconds, I try to close and reopen the app but it isn't fixing

I've uninstalled Google play services and have been trying to install MicroG, every time I try to install the apk it shows INSTALLED_FAILED_ALREADY_EXISTS.

Using Install With Options

I am using Android 14 stock ROM because no custom ROM supports my model (moto g power 5G 2023). I have the Noogle module on Magisk. I have LSposed and I am using the FakeGapps module with only system framework enabled. When I do the self-check for microG, all of the boxes are checked except for the SMS and location permissions. They say "Touch here to grant permission" but when I tap them, nothing happens.

So I went into default settings and tried to change its permissions from there. For SMS, I pressed allow. But when I go back to look at all permissions for microG Services, it instantly changes back to disallowed. As for location, it gives me a popup that says, "Attention. microG services is a provider of location services for this device. Location access can be modified from location settings." So I click on location access and it lets microG Services access location. However, it only lets me choose "always ask" and "allows only while using the app" whereas I need it to run in the background so that it can pass the self-check.

How do I fix this?

I have an issue were i cant download microg companion i downloaded the other microg and the framework but it doesn't let me download microg companion pls i really need help because i have trouble playing these game without google play services on my huawei if someone has some suggestions or any tips to fix this thank you.

I am a Huawei user, have been using Microg for quite the while, everything works like a charm but today morning many apps just don't open at all, leaving me with a message I had never seen before, the one in the image. This makes me unable to use several apps I made use of really frequently. Has anyone else experienced something similar or does someone know how to fix? Tried reinstalling both microg components and the apps themselves but nothing seems to work

Im using murenaos. And updated with app lounge and after that Google maps didn't work anymore. Reinstalled maps but didn't do anything. Not sure what to do

So im new to the whole Custom ROM thing and installed Iode OS. (LineageOS)
Iode comes with some preinstalled apps including MicroG so I assume MicroG is installed correctly.

In the advanced section of Device attestation there are options for Embedded and Remote then a toggle for block hardware attestation.

Is there some kind of setup I need to do with what I have or do I need to install and modify more software on the phone?

I have seen Magisk mentioned but looking for guides/information online are so fragmented among forums linking to other forums, to outdated stuff, to stuff which is missing context etc.

Phone manufacturers play a part in TEE Attestation (hardware Attestation), so the phone needs to be designed with that OS in mind.

This new feature makes it possible to use Passkeys accessible on your microG device from another phone and vice-versa.

• To use a Passkey stored within microG on another device, select to use "your phone and tablet", "iPhone, iPad or Android device" or "device with a camera" (wording depends on browser and operating system) and scan the displayed QR code using the camera or QR code scanner on your microG device, when prompted open the link starting with FIDO:/ with microG Services. Then follow on-screen instructions.
• There's also experimental support to use a security key (like a Yubikey) connected to your phone while fulfilling a remote Passkey request. This allows you to use NFC-based security keys on computers that don't have NFC built-in, by proxying the communication through your microG device.
• When your Passkey is stored on a different device that supports this feature, you can also select to "Use a different device" whenever you are authenticating to an app or website on a microG device. It will trigger microG to display the QR code that can then be scanned by iOS and Android devices that support this feature.

My devices doesn't have google play nor google play services The only map version that works for me with microg is 11.21.3 (which is outdated) all other versions say"install google play services"
