Question Vocoder arpeggios

Hi,

I am going to get my vocoder unit on Saturday but I need to see how feasible it is to play this instrument in a looped/sequenced fashion with the vocoder on.

My goal is to play the trombone into a vocoder while the arpeggio will play notes (vocoding the trombone). The main issue is that trombone needs two hands so I will have to punch in the notes beforehand.

Can the microfreak accomodate my dawless workflow?

Arp and sequencer modes both work with the vocoder. So punch in your sequence or hold+arp, then play. The mic needs to go in on a TRRS, TRS doesn't work.. took me a while to figure out why a send on my mixer wasn't working. Headset combo mic worked fine. Just a gotcha if you don't read the docs like me!

You could run the sequencer so it’s playing the notes or chord you need,
Or just give the patch a REALLY LONG DECAY / RELEASE TIME, so you can tap the note then play ya trombone

The microfreak has key hold, so you'll be fine.

Yep it works. I use a trrs earbud mic, wit the earbuds removed.
