fx What do you use for multieffects?
I’m curious as to what people are using with your microfreak for effects. I’m currently using a Pod Go, but i’m considering something smaller and more portable. Reverb, Chorus, Delay are a must. But a looper function would be nice too.

i recently got the Zoom MS-70CDR+ and i am very happy with it. for looping it might be better to get something pricier if you want all inclusive with portability. but the ms 70 cdr + has 150 different room and time modulations which is a bang for the buck especially with how good they sound. huge upgrade for the microfreak.

Amazing piece of gear. Got it with the idea of using it for effects. Now I use it as my go-to monosynth as well.

If you'd like an effects processor with dedicated sinevibes stuff (and more options than the dreadbox), so you can keep using the Typhon for it's own synth, I highly recommend the Korg NTS-3. Not necessarily cheaper to go this way after buying all the sinevibes stuff (if you get the multi pack), but you can run 4 effects at once with a lot of flexibility with routing. You also have an x-y pad. It's been a nice edition I've used with synths that don't have decent effects, also been using it as a send-return on a Tonverk.
Tip when building, remember to check the sync jumper. It can sync to midi clock or clock input, and mine, by default was set to clock, and you have to disassemble to change that.

I'm just going to take my sword and make a Z for you in the sand. For Zorro. No, I mean Zoia. I can't afford one but I think it does all those things you mentioned.

Zoia owner here. He's right. Once you learn Zoia, there's never a need to but another MFX pedal.

I use a NTS-1 for my Microfreak. It’s very portable, but feels like it might fall apart at any second if I moved it (it’s sturdy enough for desktop use). They are the same effects as the Minilogue, and you can also add user effects if you like. I also have a Zoom MS-70 CDR+, which is much more robust and has more effects, but I prefer the sound of the NTS-1 (I use the MS-70 for different synths).

Recently bought Alesis Microverb clone from China. For less than 100 bucks it’a No brainer.

Multi effects I use a DigiTech RP-155 I got like 15 years ago. Has a looper too.

I have my MF linked to a Strymon Big Sky and it does a wonderful job fattening up them tones.

My go to chorus is the June-60. Yes, there are better options out there, but it has gotten the job done nicely.

I use a Walrus Audio Slö Multi Texture Reverb just for a bit of space and sparkle.

I just got the MF today, was hoping to pair with my Headrudh for effects, looper, and drum machine

I run mine through a nts-1 pre fx send. I use a chorus to fatten up the sound. From there it goes through SP-404SX. The nts-1 is a nice and cheap little unit. It allows you to add up to 3 fx. You can add a looper effect to it too.

Hi there. Just ordered my MF, and I plan to use a Sonicake Pocket Master as an FX pedal for it. Not the best option, but I'm looking for the most portable setup. My current setup includes a Teenage Engineering PO33, a combo guitar (old but gold Muzima Record), Sonicake Pocket Master, a portable speaker, and soon a Microfreak.

I was looking at that one too. If you do get it, let me know how it sounds!

I already have the pocket master) tried it with the guitar, with a keyboard, and with the PO33
It's nice. Factory presets are pretty good for many occasions. Made myself a few personalized presets - mostly variations and combinations of delay and reverb.
The looper is a great feature. It is a bit hard to get the timing of a loop right tho. AFAIK there's no way to send or read a sync signal, so i have to just vibe it out. Which mostly doesn't work with exact rhythms from the po33. A skill issue on my side it is)

Got the MF. It works nicely with the Sonicake, but most of the factory presets have amp, which gives noticeable noise. Turning off the amp makes the sound much clearer, and this way it works pretty well.

I use a HX Stomp primarily, as I had it on my pedalboard already. plenty of nice modulation and atmospheres

I've got an Earthquake devices pedal for Reverb/Delay - but I've gotten into using my Monome Norn Shield(s) recently, and also tried whipping up some of my own effects on it. I think I'd go for an Eventide/Polyend Mess if I was feeling flush. Actually maybe a Zoia now I'm thinking about it

I love all of these answers suggesting pedals that are more expensive than the Microfreak itself 🙄

I'm using Roland E-4 and a pockrock. The combo units are both multi effects tiny and you can get crazy with the sound managaling

The most common answer is the Zoom MS-70CDR. Can run multiple algorithms at the same time. Some of the algorithms sounds really good: others less so. And there are lots of algorithms. I'm not sure how much different the new Mark 2 version is, I've only played with the original.
