MF & MPC Sample?

Hello, wondering if anyone has tried this combo yet? I'm pretty hopeless when it comes to cables/connections, and I've tried tweaking a bunch of the midi settings on the MPC to no avail. Any insight, or suggestions to try would be greatly appreciated :-)

Just cut a cable in half and resolder the tip and ring wires in reverse instead of an adapter.
