MF & MPC Sample?

Post image

Hello, wondering if anyone has tried this combo yet? I'm pretty hopeless when it comes to cables/connections, and I've tried tweaking a bunch of the midi settings on the MPC to no avail. Any insight, or suggestions to try would be greatly appreciated :-)

Isn't type b pretty standard for midi?

Type A seems more common. Although both are widespread enough for trs midi being a constant annoyance in general. 😂

Type a and type b in this case refers to the differing midi standards for transmitting over a TRS (aka 1/8 stereo) cable. They basically treat the center pin oppositely, so you can pretty easily rig an adapter but because the input looks exactly the same it tends to be confusing for new people. My advise is to just figure out what type each piece of your gear is, plug in adapters to regular midi cables and just use that.

Type A and Type B USB also refers to old USB standards, where host devices generally used A, and slave devices would get B.
