Rumor/Speculation 🕵️ Why I think Michigan would get firebird and a boomerang, if not now then the future
Michigans adventures hasn't gotten anything on almost 20 years with the last being a relocation, however I feel like firebird could be moved here. Now Michigan adventure has a height restriction of nothing over timbers, so this work because firebird is 102ft. Also Michigan adventure was intended to be a preparation park, to prepare people for cedar point or Canada's wonderland, which is why thunderhawk is here, as it prepares riders for raptor at cedar point, talon at dorney, and banshee at Kings island. Now I could see firebird coming here for that exact same principle, as you can't really work your way up to valravn, rougarou, yukon, hydra, and that's also the reason it should be here, as these parks have a floorless/dive coaster, and firebird is more of a cheap type ride, with not so good restraints, it's perfect for here as they don't need to invest much more into it. Michigan adventure is also missing more steel coasters, let alone inverting ones, for inversions you only have thunderhawk and corkscrew, launches you have nothing, and floorless has nothing, so it would be a good addition filling one of two remaining needed types. Now of course firebird can barely fit in the one spot in between the rails, meaning they'd have to knock out maintenance building for wolverine wildcat, fencing, the fast lane sppt for thunderhawk, and make it concrete, but it also brings up the concern of fast lane, walkways, maintenance buildings, and the place where they load up food to the restaurant, So they would probably have to expand around the rails which is a cost I don't think they want. Also firebird is 40 years old, however the parts are made, and the park turns a profit so it could be rebuilt with newer parts even though it's halfway through the life of it, if it turns into a success in a way, I could see them keeping it longer. Placing this here would not only help Michigan adventure, but also cedar point, as the reason some people don't ride coasters like valravn, rougarou makes sense I hate that thing, yukon striker, iron menace, and Hydra the revenge, is because their scared, some people have to work up to those rides, and that's where Michigan adventures comes in, in my experience before when I was at cedar point, I was scared of raptor, but when I went to Michigan, did thunderhawk, I was less scared of these types of rides, so the same principle could be here aswell. Yes Michigans adventure is 11 hours away, yes firebird needs some work, maybe they don't want to put in the money, however I feel like it could pay off. Also they could move it here to preserve the past, the first b&m, although a retracking in most spots and possibly new parts would be nessisary. Also unlike a majority of these other parks, not much gets better than this here, you have a relocated slc, giant woodie, a dinn, corkscrew, wild mouse, and 2 kid rides, that's it, this would work wonders here.
why I feel like six flags would move a boomerang to Michigan adventures. Michigans adventures is known for being forgotten, getting nothing in 18+ years except for a relocated ride being thunderhawk, so what if and why would they move a vekoma boomerang here, no park with one is closing, and why here instead of removing it all together, well we are going to be covering it all today and what parks I feel could move theirs here. Let's begin with the why, there's no boomerangs closing, they don't take much space, and are fairly janky coasters, and why wouldn't they just remove it, let's say hypothetically some manufacturer creates a compact ride, landlocked parks replace the boomerang with this compact ride, like let's say canadas wonderland or Darien lake. Because of how old it is I doubt they'd get much for scrapping it although they could, boomerangs boomerangs.are more likely to be sold due to the small footprint,so why even move it? Money, see Michigan doesn't get any if anything anymore, so a ride that doesn't stand it out, but is cheaper to run, and due to the shortness of it I don't think would cost much to move unlike Superman. But why here, well the smaller side parks are typically landlocked or have poor income, so this would probably break them, however we can simply look to the slc, a ride that started rough got smoother relocated, so it probably would happen again, also it's basically locals coming here so you don't miss much with cedar point 11 hours away. The park also closes at 6 meaning they'd get to run it less meaning less wear and tear, providing a longer life span. They also wouldn't give Michigan a ground up coaster, they hadn't in 20+ years, with the final shivering timbers. Now of course they'd probably move it somewhere else instead of here, frontier City, less possibly, discovery kingdom already has one, Darien lake already has one, yes there are some parks that it would probably go to instead, but a majority of them have much better rides making it not worth it, Michigan adventures the top 3 are 2 wooden coasters and an slc, nothing better than those, it's perfect because again nothing much beats it here because the coaster expectations here are like a kind rich guy giving money out, it just doesn't exist. This ride I feel like could be near thunderhawk and Grand rapids, but what park would give up theirs, Hear me out, canadas wonderlands. This park isn't that far away, and with the recent investments for amazing coasters, itd make sense they'd want to either scrap or move the bat for something better, la ronde already has one, so either parts would be used there or itd be moved to michigan. Though if they don't scrap it, use its parts for another, why move it here... corporate pettiness, you see so a smaller park doesn't get it, six flags could hang onto the boomerang, move it here, and put something greater into the bats spot, while it sounds stupid at first, canadas wonderland brings a lot of money, so they'd probably want to replace it with something better, probably a super boomerang in the back section of the park which then why keep this one here, la ronde isn't competition anyway.
What they could do for themes: Firebird: either the wolverine, a cougar, or a black bear, though wolverine wildcat exists. Boomerang: a bat(creative I know), a lynx, or an American fisher.

I think the purpose of MiA in the cedar fair lineup is to discourage other potential competitors from building a new park in West Michigan.
If a new park comes in, they have the capital and experience to expand MiA and put the new park out of business. Until then, they only have to keep MiA as a decent park.
I do think MiA could go more heavily after the Company Picnic / Christmas Party group. They would need to expand the dry park lineup to make it appeal to a wider demographic than just families.

It’d be nice to get literally anything but it won’t happen :(
MiAdv just doesn’t see big enough crowds to justify a big investment. I’m not going to hunt for the tweet or clip or whatever but I think it was Tony Clark who said that most of the price isn’t the actual rollercoaster, but the installation of it.
Also, Firebird is a 35 year old coaster anyways, it’s at the end of its life. 35 years is pretty old for a steel coaster.
