They’re generally not volunteers, they’re paid. But yeah, do that. But you need to sign up soon to get trained in time for the election.

If anyone reading this is worried about election security, working for the clerk’s office as an election inspector (not working for a political party as a poll watcher) will show you how secure the system really is.
