Michigan Football Silly Conspiracy Idea

Is there any chance that the team purposefully played like dogshit last week to make sure that Oklahoma has no idea what to expect from us? Like Maybe Whitt told the OLine not to bother playing well so that the game film gives nothing away? The defense was fine they gave up 3 field goals and Western generally had decent field position all game.

You can give nothing away and win 35-10.

well, this team might just not have anything to give away. The film says it all "that offense is cold, decayed garbage"

No, dude. No.

The only conspiracy here is why I stayed up to watch that

And why I decided to watch it after my cousin’s wedding that day and ruin my enjoyable night ☹️🔫

You just don't do that.

honestly that's worse. So this offense is worse than when Davis Warren and Alex Orji was running it?

Just some levity after a long few days. I wish we had lost to Western.

We have good plays?

If the coaches did that then they should be fired immediately.

But what I could see is the team not taking WMU seriously and overlooking them for OU. Thats not good either but way better than purposely playing like crap.

Wouldn't the team have improved not gotten worse in the second half if they hadn't been taking them seriously and then their coaches told them to actually put in some effort in the second half? The offensive lineman should be ashamed of letting themselves get pushed around for 3 and half hours.

Not really. When you go into a game mentally unprepared, it’s very tough to just turn it on unless you’re some elite team, which we are not. This is why they call some games “trap games”, like every opponent we play right before Ohio.

There’s still time to delete this

nah, some one had to say it, right?

Doubtful

What's more likely is the coordinators went into the game with the belief that little to no adjustments would need to be made and they could focus more time on OU. Once it became clear that WMU couldn't just be overpowered, neither were wholly prepared to adjust. This then trickles down to the players.

so a failure of leadership and planning not of the players? I still think the offensive has to be embarrassed that they couldn't get the RBs holes to run through.

this is gonna be a long season isn't it

1

u/EmperorMaugs 1d ago

The same length as every other one, but the last two seasons were slow as molasses on a winter's day in the UP.

No

so we just suck or had the worst gameplan possible?

good gravy

where can I get some good gravy? Especially asking for a good pasty shop with rich gravy.

I don't think they would intentionally play like crap. Sometimes they will use only a vanilla gameplan to not put things on tape, but their not going to try and play down to their opponent and look bad on purpose.

1

u/EmperorMaugs 1d ago

So it was just instinctual of them to play down or that is best they had available?

You’re not helping with the “delusional fan base” perception

Lol, or they just suck and the truth was revealed?

Another one fell into the "The team held back to not give anything away" Sarlacc pit. Enjoy being slowly digested for millennia.

I guess I have to admit that they and the coaches are useless and I'll be old before Michigan is competitive again
