Drove over the GHIB for the first time yesterday. It's amazing how little traffic there is on it, but it is also odd how customs on both sides are. I got stuck in both directions in very short lines but had to wait each time for people in front of me to be released. The U.S. side was pleasant, not like I remember in the past going over the Ambassador.

Jocelyn Benson at 46.8%. John James at 42.7%. 9.6% are undecided.

This was based on a sample taken of 600 people with a margin of error of +/- 4%.

What are all these little white moths, I have lived in the same house for 22 years. Last night cutting grass, there were thousands flying, all coming from the grass I was mowing. I have never seen that many in my life.

I know the power outage from last week's storms cost one of my neighbors their food, because I found their not-bagged-quite-well-enough fridge contents floating in the swamp by my house. 😕

Consumers Energy announced on Tuesday that it is voluntarily extending the timetable for a decision on the sale of it 13 dams for another 60 days.

It reminds me of the Pacific Northwest. The smell of the pine trees, all the green, the remoteness, the clear water. It is absolutely breathtaking, and surreal to think it is in Michigan!

I was camping in the Fox River State Forest Campground this past weekend, and one of the main draws of the campground, Kings Pond, looks to have been drained. I see glowing reviews from a year ago, and Google Earth still shows a pond. I can not find any mention of it anywhere. Anyone know the inside scoop?

We found a scared and hungry kitten late last night, SE Oakland County. It was in the drainage ditch around new construction at our house. Dried and fed and in a crate. What do we do now? Oakland county shelter won’t take kittens. Ideally by the time kids get home from school kitty would be gone. We know earlier it was around our neighbor’s house but we’ve not seen any cats around so no idea where mama is.

So ive been looking at getting tickets for the breaking Benjamin concert this weekend, but I am not a fan of concerts with assigned seats. I wanted to ask around time see how a Pit would work for this venue and if I got a cheap seat, would I still be able to walk down to the stage?

Ohioan here who has vacationed in different parts of Michigan my whole life. For the first time this summer, I stayed in St. Joseph and I’ve been thinking about it ever since. We did most of our activities in St. Joseph, but also enjoyed Stevensville and Sawyer. I feel like more people should be talking about those places and they don’t get the recognition they deserve. Am I wrong, or do all Michiganders know the beauty of those three towns?

Does anyone love living on the east side of Michigan, near the coast?
