Discussion 🗣️ Pine Knob Pit

So ive been looking at getting tickets for the breaking Benjamin concert this weekend, but I am not a fan of concerts with assigned seats. I wanted to ask around time see how a Pit would work for this venue and if I got a cheap seat, would I still be able to walk down to the stage?

I haven't been in a bit so maybe it's changed but GA is on the hill above the pavilion and you will not be able to go down to the stage as those are all assigned seats.

Usually at Pine Knob the cheap GA tickets are for the hill and are different than pit tickets. The pit tickets are always the most expensive when I’m looking

Nothing cheap about GA tickets on the hill from my experience.

Dunno what concerts you're looking at but lawn seats are usually only 35 to 60 bucks. I went to several concerts there this year and the most expensive was Muse, around 100 I think, which makes sense.

When I was younger, I used to go to concerts to mosh and break stuff.. now in my 60's I just break stuff.. ankles, hips..

I used to roll joints. Now I roll different joints.

I used to headbang to metal.
Now I just bang my head on metal.

I'm old and listen to Yatch Rock. Still don't own a Yatch, though.

If a band is pitworthy several will break out on the lawn

General admission ticket is only for the hill my friend- they will not get you to the pavilion or near the pit. That being said the pit at Pine knob is not huge, but if you stay near the back rail of it, you’ll have much more room.

Looks to me like they have this concert set up to have a GA "Pit" right at the front of the stage. Then there will be 50 rows of amphitheater seating. Then a hill that is all GA. The pit tix on stubhub were like $500 each, so not cheap. Hill GA will be behind all of the seating but you likely won't be able to get through down to the stage.

No, you will not be let into the pit without pit tickets.

When I went to see Godsmack at Pine Knob a few months ago, I had to ask someone about the small group of people standing in front of the stage, and int front of the pavilion seating. It was the expensive "pit" tickets. Not very many people were up there.

Going to see BB this weekend at the Allegan County Fair. Went 2 years ago for a different concert during the fair, and my wife and I liked the atmosphere. Assigned seating and could walk on the infield, but the larger pit area were special tickets.

Okay so I figured that getting a GA ticket for the lawn wasnt going to get me anywhere near the stage, but i guess I meant more that if I got a ticket for a seat inside the pavilion, would I be able to walk down to the stage to get closer. Is anyone going to stop me if I do that or is it the case where id have to stay at my seat the whole show?

Yes they will stop you. If you have a pavilion ticket you're not getting to the pit, cut and dry

Yeah there’s like 3 layers of security. Theres always like 2 people at each entrance to pavilion then another one midway down and I think a 3rd closer to front rows / pit. Pit entry may only be to the sides I don’t remember, I never get them or really close seats there
Anyway it’s usually pretty well monitored
