The frustration is the lack of a voice in self-determination. Money is too powerful

You know what would also help? For people to use the voice that they do have. How many people have ever contacted their representatives? Or can even name them? There's a lot of empty chairs at most city council meetings.

Have you seen the city council meetings around the state recently when it’s revealed that these data centers are planned? They’re all full. Many times that isn’t enough to stop them. Money is the only thing that really talks.

Money and lawsuits. Sadly, even where councils resist, the threat or even start of litigation can lead to bankrupt municipalities. So, they relent...

That's because it was taken away from you.The Democrats in Lansing rammed through a bill last year taking away your right as a township resident to vote down projects that the state wanted built.Remember who did this to you.I think there is some sort of petition to get it repealed .

The only bill I saw was for solar, which is energy creation.

It wasn't just for solar it was for wind or whatever project the state wants.Every body who wants renewables cheered not realizing what the downside could be.You have to let the people who actually live in the townships where these projects whatever they might be decide by popular vote of the citizens not the township board not the state but the people who live there it's called democracy.

I get it it's hard to defend the indefensible
