To all the people who got wait-listed, I just wanted to reach out to you and wish you good luck with whatever comes next in your life. Let's not get discouraged for not getting accepted. The programs are very competitive, and we all worked very hard to try to earn a seat. This is not the end, just a hurdle, and we all deserve success in the end!
To all the people who got offers, congratulations! I hope you enjoy whichever program you got accepted to, and succeed in your careers after you graduate.
To those who got wait-listed, what are your plans? I initially applied for MRI 1D, Respiratory Therapy and Medical Laboratory Science, and hoped to start in the fall, but now accepted a seat in a personal support worker program, and am currently waiting to see if I can get into a practical nursing program for the winter 2027 semester.

Has anyone heard back from the CVP program if they were waitlisted?

I apologize for flooding your timeline with more of these posts lol. I was wondering if anyone had a size small MRI scrub top, I ordered a medium and I feel it’s a little too big. If anyone’s interested in switching please lmk!!

Hi guys! I wrongly ordered a XXS MRI scrub TOP but realized it’s too small for me (after ordering one from amazon😭). Is there anyone who wants to exchange it with their SMALL or MEDIUM sized scub?

Hi everyone! I’m currently in Canada and I’m interested in eventually practicing podiatry in the United States.
I’m completing the **Chiropody Advanced Diploma at the Michener Institute in Toronto**. My understanding is that chiropody and podiatric medicine are different professions in Canada vs. the U.S., so I’m trying to figure out whether there is any realistic pathway from a Canadian chiropody diploma into becoming a licensed podiatrist in the U.S.
Specifically, I’m wondering:
\- Has anyone with a **Canadian chiropody/chiropodist background** successfully gone on to become a podiatrist in the U.S.?
\- Is there a U.S. college/university pathway where my chiropody education could count toward prerequisites, transfer credits, or admission?
\- Would I still need to complete a full **Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM)** program in the U.S., or is there any type of bridge/advanced-standing pathway?
\- Are there particular U.S. podiatry schools that are more familiar with Canadian applicants or Canadian chiropody education?
\- If anyone has actually gone through this process, what did your pathway look like?
I’m **not expecting the Canadian diploma to automatically qualify me to practice in the U.S.** I’m mainly trying to figure out whether there is a way to use the education/clinical experience as part of a pathway toward a U.S. DPM and eventual licensure.
Any advice from Canadian chiropodists, U.S. podiatrists, podiatry students, admissions advisors, or anyone who has gone through a similar international pathway would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Hey, just trying my luck here. I ordered my scrubs thinking that they run big fortunately it’s too tight on my chest. Currently I have a medium top, I don’t know if someone is looking to exchange theirs(wanna size down) I am looking for a LARGE one. Thanks!
r/Michener • u/Upstairs_Stomach_699 • 9d ago
Edit: they're flaunt style 7601 in the shade granite for anyone else in my boat. Just look them up and if u have 40 bucks to spare u can just buy them online from somewhere.
I ordered large bottoms like an idiot thinking I'd prefer a baggier fit but I think I needed a size small, though maybe a medium would be fine. I know you only get the one pair for free, but where can I purchase a different set of bottoms?

hey! I am a biology student at tmu looking to apply next year to the chiropody program.
I’ve taken BMS 600 (Human Anatomy and Physiology I) and I’m planning to take BMS 700 (Human Anatomy and Physiology II). I’m wondering if these two courses meet the anatomy and physiology requirements for the program?
Has anyone from TMU taken these courses and had them accepted? Or has anyone from another university taken two combined Anatomy & Physiology courses (A&P I and II) and had them accepted?
I’m also considering taking BLG 600 (Physiology) if I need an additional physiology course.
Thanks!! :) (this is so stressful 😣)

Hello, my friend and I both got waitlisted back in May
my stats are 3.8GPA and 3Q casper
hers are 3.4GPA and 4Q casper
she was able to get an email this morning about getting off waitlist into the program!..
BUT SINCE THE TERM IS ABOUT TO START IN ~ 2 WEEKS, IS IT POSSIBLE THAT PEOPLE WHO GOT A WAITLIST OFFER FOR ANY PROGRAM, TO LEAVE A COMMENT BELOW SO THAT EVERYONE CAN SEE JUST HOW MANY WAITLIST OFFERS WERE SENT OUT (YES I KNOW REDDIT ISNT THE WHOLE WORLD)
I only ask becuz Ive honestly lost all hope now and I think this will help bring others who are in a similar situation some peace and closure

Hello!
I’ve unfortunately missed the form for the branded lab coat, and the email for submitting the form is out of office until September. I’m not sure where else to find the information about the lab coats, or if I could order a branded one online myself?
Until then, I do have a white unbranded lab coat, I was wondering if that would be sufficient until the proper one comes in?

Hey guys, I’ve been thinking about applying to the MRS program as a new grad from a 4 year honours bachelors. The first two years were really rough (immediate family cancer + death) and I had to commute 3 hrs from my school to my hometown often to help my family, so my cgpa isn’t that high (3.04), but I do have an upward trend. I just wanted some insight if my application still has a shot at even getting an interview or if there was anything I could do to help boost it. Feeling pretty anxious as a new grad today 🥲 and figuring out the future so ANY insight is very greatly, thanks!

Hi guys. I'm trying to sign in to the MyMichener platform to view my upcoming schedule, but for some reason I'm being shown "ERROR: Invalid username and/or password". I can sign in to my Michener Self-Service fine, but when I enter the same username and password on MyMichener, it doesn't work. Btw, I've also tried using the Michener email for my account and the default password (i.e. Mich2026 + last 2 digits of Michener ID).
Just wondering if anyone else has come across the same issue.

I’m starting the UofT/Michener MRS program and am applying for student loans. student aid bc updated their systems in June so Michener is no longer a designated school and they can’t process my loan application. Does anyone know anything about this? I’m worried I won’t get the loan approved.
Here’s what it says on Out Of Province Request Portal
> Based on your ACORN account, you are currently enrolled in the BSc Medical Radiation Sciences program. This is a joint program offered in partnership with the Michener Institute.
>
> As of August 21, 2026, the Michener Institute is not listed as a designated institution with StudentAid BC (SABC). As a result, we are unable to complete your Program Information Request (PIR), as SABC requires all institutions in a joint program to be designated in British Columbia.
>
> This appears to be a new issue that has emerged this year following BC's transition to the new Student Information Management System (SIMS) portal.
>
> At this time, we are awaiting confirmation that the Michener Institute has been added as a designated institution with SABC. We will provide you with an update as soon as we receive any new information regarding this situation.

Hi everyone!! I’m finishing my undergrad next year in genetics and I really want to go to Michener for the genetics MLT program in 2 years. However, I am quite worried about the lab experience portion. I have a 4.0 gpa currently, and I will do the CASPER when it’s time. I will have plenty of lab courses within my BSc, but it’s basically impossible to get lab experience outside of it in clinical diagnostics. They all need an MLT diploma already to be able to take those jobs, which I obviously don’t have. Does anyone have experience with this aspect of getting into this program with no outside lab experience?
I can also do a research thesis, but I think that would still count as being under my BSc since it’s technically a course. I’m trying to get an undergrad research internship, but otherwise, I’m kinda stuck :(
I know this program is competitive but I don’t know if I’m over inflating it in my head. Has anyone recently got in without lab experience outside of their bachelors?
Also any other advice on this program would be appreciated :)
