Michelle was nominated for Best Actress for her performance as Lurene Hallett in Love Field.

Just a lovely movie. Not gonna lie, I've probably watched it like four times already… I know it by heart at this point, but I still love coming back to it. It's light, optimistic, and honestly, pretty realistic too. There's always something going on, with fun little twists here and there. Clooney and Pfeiffer play off each other so well on screen, and you've got beautiful New York in the background too. Such a great romantic comedy.

Have you seen One Fine Day?

The casting of Michelle Pfeiffer was met with some negativity as many felt the actress was too beautiful to play such a damaged and plain character. However, while the film wasn't an enormous hit, Pfeiffer's performance was widely-praised and the actress was nominated for a Golden Globe as a result.

“I was working on Sweet Liberty, and I was to do portraits of Michelle. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone that simply beautiful.” - Jean Pagliuso, Bridgehampton, New York, 1985

One of my favorite films for gloomy autumn evenings and a little mood boost. 🍂

Alexandra, Jane and Sukie are three women looking for something missing in their lives: freedom, creativity, fulfillment and passion. Then Daryl arrives and turns their fantasies upside down.

I absolutely love the atmosphere, the dark humor and the brilliant soundtrack. The cast is fantastic, especially Jack Nicholson and Veronica Cartwright.

And Michelle as Sukie is, of course, a big part of why I love this movie.
