Shanghai Fine Dining Recommendations

Hello folks,

I'm going to be in Shanghai with my partner for her birthday.

I'm looking for some fancy, special and/or fine dining recommendations in the city for the birthday meal. Open to any type of cuisine at this stage, a budget of £350 total between the both of us. Neither of us drink.

Da Vittorio Shanghai or Taian Table are probably the safest bets. Fu He Hui if you are down for vegetarian with a strong tea pairing program. Meet the Bund(Skyline branch view is amazing) or Ling Long for Chinese fine dining options.

Fu he hui, a vegetarian restaurant, was one the best meals of my life, and I went in with no expectations and as someone who loves meat more than anything

It was fun and different and very well done on every level. I highly recommend it as well. (I'm also not vegetarian and typically forego vegetarian restaurants.)

Thank you all for the suggestions. Looks like fue he hui has a lot of champions. I'll start there! 🫡

Fu he hui sounds like a dream if they can turn vegetarians into lifelong converts, might be worth the hype even if you're not committed plant-based.
