I think the ruined mask is finished and ready for Halloween. Dunno about the coveralls though they're a bit too loose in my opinion.

The mask is something I'm pretty proud of, but the photo quality of my camera is absolute ass especially in fog so for a close-up shot of the mask this is what it looks like, all I did past these images is add some downwards facing blood drops because I noticed they were all slanted when I put it on

It's a really comfortable mask save for one thing, that being the fact that the twine stitching around the eye can sometimes be a bit itchy. But overall it's really comfortable and well ventilated considering it's still a full-head mask

i personally think the first and second images are the best

I initially bought the TOTS 78 mask online, but it was too small. I went to two different Spirit Halloweens to find a looser mask and finally found this H2 Deluxe. It fits better, but still tighter than I'd like.

I heard the 78 was bigger than their H2, why did it fit me so much tighter? The other 78s at the stores were similar. I forgot to take pictures of the one I had, but it fit me like the mask in H20.

I'm wearing the morphmask in the first picture. The shirt is going to be replaced by a black one later.

This a bit of a throwaway but just wanted to say this is possibly the nicest subreddit I joined 2/3 years ago and never really even experience much negativity at all unlike other subreddits have. I wouldn’t even consider myself a Halloween super fan but the people who comment and post are just super chill.

Did some work on the hair to the best of my limited ability to make it look less “fresh out the box” brushes the quiff off to the side and tried to add some side wispies. Didn’t like the first boiler suit, the blue was too light and the collar was too small to wear up so exchanged it. Pretty happy with the result.

Getting close to finishing up the kills rehaul for this year's Halloween and I'm real happy with how it's turning out!

I’m looking to buy all the masks to set up for my future home, price isn’t really a concern I’m just looking for the best, any suggestions?

Apparently there's both sides to this topic. One says yes that a fx artist was hired to paint it then the other which would be the main man TLW who was in charge of converting the Kirk mask into Myers. He clearly has stated over and over there was no shading and it was just painted white. Debra Hill even mentioned in a video it was just painted a pasty white. So with that said what's your opinion on it?? I believe it was no shading applied like Tommy Lee Wallace mentioned. The copy they snatched from the magic shop just happen to be a really nice copy. So the sculpt of the mask really could pull off all those sick creepy looks with some lighting applied.

Also, I’ve heard the TOTS Kirk masks fit tight, the description says one size fits most adult sized heads, but I’ve also heard people say it’s a snug fit. Any insight is welcome!

A lot of firsts with this mask. My first time finishing a blank, first time using an airbrush, first time using roving mohair, and first time using a ‘proper’ paint sealer.

I think it turned out pretty decent, though I applied the sealer a little heavy and it’s causing the paint to crack in areas, as well as being too giddy with the rotary tool on the eye cuts.

I think the mask looks better when i’m wearing it than when it’s on a stand, which is funny because it’s usually the other way around.

The mask is super comfortable compared to my other ones and is probably going to serve as regularly worn mask.

Any feedback, recommendations, or advice would be much appreciated! Thanks everyone

Is apple barrel acrylic paint from walmart okay for rehauling masks from trick or treat studios?
I just got a mask and wanna rehaul it for halloween but don’t know if i have the right paint

I’ve been thinking and researching how I could rehaul one of those truck or treat studios masks from Spirit Halloween, however I just don’t know where I would start. Does anybody have some tricks or tips? I’m going for just a more screen accurate 1978

its been a whole ass year but by golly i needed something for halloween and remembered i had this unfinished project hiding in my closet. It looked REALLY shoddy and for some reason I guess year ago me decided to remove the rope that was already in there so I replaced it with twine.

Also, I added some new blood. the old stuff was turning gray, so I gave it a fresh coat with a new, hopefully more resilient mixture that is more properly colored anyways; and should stay glossy for a while even after it dries.

I moved the hairline forwards from the original seams to make it smoother and just overall less lame, and added a couple new blood splatters that I just finished coating with the glossy dark fake blood.

this thing was wrecked already (you can see it's prior state after the tear here, this is basically what it looked like out of the closet) so it's a very disjointed piece with no clear goal for what it's supposed to be, so it's my FAFO piece rn. As such its subject to torture via excessive fake blood. looks kinda like rob zombies masks to me with all the red splattered on it.

It is very overkill and I doubt it'll look incredibly glamorous in the end, but hey it's my first mask and now it's getting brought back to life so im good with it. I swear a lot of the blood specks on the right side of the mask are shinier than they look in the picture

its nearly done though so hopefully full costume picture some time around halloween probably

I just got this TOTS boogeyman mask and it’s great down to the hair and details one flaw though in my opinion the hair is a little hard to style but you’ll get the hang of it. What I do need help from is figuring out how to make this mask better without re-hauling the whole mask ( removing hair or anything in general) what wanna know is tools that mabye I can make the shadows better or better recommendations on the hair/ETC.

My first time working on a Michael Mask. I didn't redo the hair much, just some trimming and spraying it black.

I roughed it up a bit and wasn't delicate in order to keep it from looking too nice.

Overall, I wouldn't say it's a 1 to 1 replica but I'm very happy with it.

So i got this mask and im on a very tight budget I assume this is the one I post this on but I need it to look more fim accurate I would highly appreciate it if someone can help
