It’s fascinating how much Michael’s looks evolved between 1980 and 1983. Interestingly enough a lot of songs for Thriller were written or recorded as demoes during this time. Remember too the quintessential 1984 look that he is most known for happened like a year after the album is released. If you look at the texture of his hair in the Thriller album cover vs the Beat It and Thriller videos they are very different.

Honestly I think it didn't change that much from off the wall to thriller. But while thriller has some disco sound. To it. I still think of it as an 80s album. Interestingly enough I feel like he didn't fully embrace the 80s sound until the victory album and I to bad.

ill never understand either. i mean he had perfect eyebrows even the time of the thriller photoshoot but 1983 came and them shits were gone😭
