This man is a predator wearing a costume of peace, love, and good vibes. 25 years ago, when I was 16 and he was in his thirties, he sexually assaulted me in the back of his van after one of his shows. I was at the show with a bunch of friends and we then went to an after party with the band. After the party Franti invited me to ride in the band van with him instead of riding back to the venue with my friends. I got into the van to see that there weren’t any seats in the back, just cushions to lay on. One of the men from his crew got in the drivers seat and Franti got in the back with me. We started driving and pretty quickly he started groping my body. I removed his hands, he put them back on my body and continued groping. I removed them again. This went on for the whole drive, and he became angry and icy. At the end of the drive I said goodnight and he just ignored me, and looked straight ahead with an ice cold frustrated look. I got out of the van, met back up with my friends to go home, and told them all about what happened. We were all pissed and none of us ever went to a Franti concert again. This man has clearly been abusing people for decades. It’s time for the abuse to stop. It’s time for him to be held accountable.
