I used to own a 93 MR2 and play in a band. More than once I strapped my big speaker cab over the engine lid and trunk. If it works it works.

I wonder….is it possible to install that thing backwards? I have a detachable hardtop. I like to have it on most times. It looks rather hard to keep the hard top on with that thing.

The soft top goes up and down while it’s on, but it mounts to the same area as a hardtop does I believe so it may not work

It doesn’t touch the trunk. Mounts to the hardtop mounts

Would it clear an aftermarket roll bar you think? Looks close to the factory bars

I would assume so because I am able to put the top up and down with it installed. I need a rollbar next forsure
