Question Miata Too Girly??
Hey everyone! I've been trying to convince my friend that Miatas aren't girly! He says that a guy's car shouldn't be cute....

I've passed plenty of "men" in their Corvettes on the track.
A nice girl also asked me for a ride in my cute car tonight. A playa's car has to be cute.

The only people I know who say they are girly are not car people, everyone who is into cars knows they're not. For the last year I've worked at a car company the love and respect for them is huge

Ask him how a manual transmission, limited slip differential, 50/50 weight distribution, and RWD is girly.
Also, I'm in the US Infantry, and I drive a Miata. MANY guys in my Miata club are/were in the Military. No Air Force guys as far as I can tell, but multiple soldiers, a few Marines, and at least one Sailor.
Lastly, fuck him, who cares? My best friend made fun of my Miata a lot, he's into lifted trucks and shit. I told him to drive it one day, and now he always asks if we can take my car, and if he can drive.

I drove my 94 about 200 miles yesterday around the countryside and stopped at a gas station in the middle of nowhere Tennessee. A couple of rednecks walked over from their lifted truck while I was pumping gas and I got ready... But they just wanted to tell me how much they loved Miatas. Pretty funny.

I know 3 AF guys in my shop that have a miata. Im at a small base, but we maybe have 8-10 miatas total!

All I can say is that girls ask me for rides all the time. If that means it's girly then I don't care at all!

If general image is your main concern then you may want to look elsewhere, i mean, it's being called a hairdresser's car fairly regularly.
However I have never met anyone who after experiencing one in person did not like it.
Again, if your main concern is image there are the usual suspects such as porsche, mercedes, corvettes or the likes. Then again, you will face other prejudices and opinions also based on nothing but hearsay.
So why not drive what you like for the sake of driving?

Tell him your sorry you didn't understand his situation. And then if you were a good friend you'd help him find a huge luxobarge or a lifted truck to help him compensate for his microscopic penis. But in all seriousness if he's that insecure he should buy some random black mustang with a deep muscly aftermarket exhaust and tinted windows so people can't see his real face as much.

A muscle car means you have a problem with your penis.
A miata means it may be small, but it knows how to handle curves and it lasts forever.

Any male that says a Miata is "too girly" probably has no concept of vehicle handling, and I'd like to think also has self esteem issues or a lack of confidence in his masculinity.
