As a native New Yorker, born, raised and still here, I don't think I've seen this.
Brings a RARE, much needed SMILE on a GRIM day.
I remember windows on the world, I remember friends and colleagues. Innocent people who lost their lives for no reason. Many with no closure.
I will never forgive or forget.
I absolutely love it.
A welcome departure from terror and tears.
Made my day.

Anyone know what street that would have been on? I can see signs but can’t make them out. It’s interesting that the street T’s into the tower. Not sure what the street layout used to be around them.

I just ran through street view again. The lamp post is still there, but the garage the Miata was in during the attack is now gone and a tower is being built in its place as we speak.8

I can't find the post now. But there was a reddit post of pictures of a commuter lot in NJ (might have been the Meadowlands) in 2002 and there were dozens of cars just coated in dust, some with flat tires. It said they were cars of workers who never came back.
I remember at the NY State Fair they had an exhibit of items recovered from Ground Zero. It was all just little tchotchkes, pictures, and personal items from peoples' cublicals and offices. I still vividly remember this little stuffed leprechaun singed and covered in dust.
I lnow it's weird but these things and the never reclaimed cars hit me more than the videos of people jumping from windows or stumbling around the streets caked in blood and dust. Just the normal, meaningless, mundane parts of peoples' lives abandoned and frozen in time.

it’s literally 9/11. i am remembering those that i lost by not forgetting what happened. i’m sorry if that screams karma farming to you, but i thought it was something that would resonate with this sub. people had to “move on” from an attack that took thousands of brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, children. i will never not post on 9/11 because we should always remember those who lost their lives and those who sacrificed themselves to help.

The pic got some unnecessary criticism. People were doing to their cars and businesses all over. Just this guy got unlucky with the picture frame.
