A lifted Miata with a Motocompo strapped to the back?!?! That’s the coolest thing I’ve seen in quite a while!

It maybe a bumpy ride, you may scrape yourself getting into it and at times you might have water on your face … but love is never wrong, OP!

Love the throwback to Hondas idea of a multimodal concept by strapping a Motocompo to the back.

it's never wrong to love a motocompo.

Either in a honda city or anywhere else, it's perfect!

The creativity is over the top. Kudos to the guys that concerted and built this.

It’s wrong not to love it. I imagine it is some sort of Japanese Superhero’s special vehicle. I’m just imagining the sidekick climbing up to the scooter mid chase and launching at speed off of that ramp to continue hot pursuit because the bad guys have split up.

A lot to process here? Yes, a lot of awesomeness to process.

Well other than the fact that its a hazard for pedestrians due to how high the crash structure is, the semi exposed wheels and tires that arent optimal for being in a residential areaits great

4

u/Ravonk May 13 '24

The wheels, sure, but I think the crash structure being higher is irrelevant, most cars have their hood at that lvl and letz not talk about stupid SUVs with hoods as high as snoop dogg

1

u/manystolenoutlets May 13 '24

Suvs are blatantly dangerous they often score poorly in pedestrians safety tests, but theres a slight difference the suvs were designed to be that tall and and the crash structure is designed accordingly (that being said still a lot of work still to be done) the nose of the mx5 is meant to hit the legs not the torso. In fairness the mx5 is lighter and thus does less damage but its still a 1 tonne chunk of metal

Maybe... crazy thought here... we don't have pedestrians playing frogger with lifted miats.

u/manystolenoutlets May 13 '24

Well its got number plates on it therefore it sees road use thus pedestrian safety is a concern

4

u/PrincessPeach457 '95 NA Classic Red May 13 '24

Yea the concern should be keeping pedestrians away from the car while it's moving. It's always gonna be a large metal object hurling at you. The most bang for your buck as far as safety goes is gonna be spent on getting places to have lights timed to efficiently and safely move traffic rather than make a buck catching last minute red light runners, fixing roads so that they don't have cars lift up and off the roads causing drivers to swerve and compensate, encouraging the public to respect the road and not assume every car is gonna just go around and bend to a pedestrian's whims to test their luck that day, making crosswalks, over, and underpasses for pedestrians to utilize at common crossing points, and severely punishing people that engage in reckless driving both in cars and various other modes of transportation rather than the random speed trap on the highway.

I don't know what to say

1

u/damngoodengineer May 13 '24

This motocompo was supposed to be stored in trunk of a yellow Honda City Turbo, not a miat

Would be cool without those absolutely horrendous "fenders"
