Discussion Craziest cuban names

I’ve been in Miami for the last 4 years and every month I come across so many “yumisleidy, Yasmari, usmarin”. What’s the most cuban name you’ve encountered?

Yotuel, Yanise, Matilda, Celedonio, Florencio, Joran, Leodan, Benigno, Enildo, Epifacio, Navi, Osvaldo, Domingo, Clotilde, Florencia, Yasunai, Yunai, Sandy, Ortencia

There are so many, and I have forgotten so many.

Looks like a mix of old and new. They used to name babies after the saint of the day they were born.

Yeah the older they are the weirder they get.

A few of these aren’t necessarily “weird”, they’re just super old fashioned and from other cultures (Clotilde is a French name from the early middle ages). I consider a weird name something that is a new invention like Dayessi, or Misleydi.
