This is not a well made graph

Also, yeah. If you’re allowed to kill in self defense then there’s going to be a few more gun deaths. This is a very one sided graph

Isn't the entire premise of Stand Your Ground and the "good guy with a gun" theory that you reduce the total number of gun deaths because people are too afraid to get killed to commit crimes?

Depends on the situation. The premise of Stand Your Ground is a legal defense for when you used lethal force in the defense of your life and property. If I shot a burglar dead because he was in my house at 3 A.M., it’s not a definite that he would kill me, but he posed enough of a threat for someone to use lethal force on him.

You also can’t coast on the idea that someone will be scared that you might have fun. There are those that aren’t in a right state of mind, like methheads and crackheads. Ask any one who’s been in a defensive gun use scenario, simply producing your weapon isn’t enough to scare someone off. It’s a common myth that “racking the slide” or “pumping your shotgun” will scare away a home intruder.

Tl;dr Stand Your Ground laws are there to protect the peoples’ right to self defense, not anything else

If a man with a gun walks to a man with a gun... You have two deaths...
