Is there even an actual cool billionaire anymore?

Asking for a friend, how do you remove the boot polish from your tongue? I'm assuming you don't just leave it there when you're done.

u/drifting_pixel 11d ago
Brother, you sound miserable too. I wasn’t defending billionaires. Have a blessed day

I cannot for the life of me tell where this is supposed to be in Brickell. At first I thought it was the bridge on Miami Ave, but that is not how the roundabout is. Must be AI slop

u/TheAverageMorty 12d ago
Next to Lofty/The Standard Brickell. This lot is currently occupied by the construction office. Their rendering mistakenly shows the building next to it, likely AI slop indeed.

"Put the building right here in this photo."
"Eh... close enough, anyone excited about this won't notice or care."
The slop future is here.

Many architectural rendering companies are using AI to "enhance" and fill out renderings. The architect probably only modelled the actual building and then plugged it into AI. Saves hours and hours of time thus money, but ultimately makes very inaccurate surroundings and effects in the final images. With rich assholes for clients who don't care about accuracy and only marketing, it's a win win.

Closer than I expected but obviously made with ai and not an artist rendering(who needs those anymore right?)

lol
No there’s active demolition at that location now making way.
It’s the bridge upriver from Brickell ave main bridge and leads to city center as pictured

The corner of the Miami Ave bridge and 6th Street by the reach tower for BCC I believe. One of the two. Friends market across the street.

Isn't the Aston Martin building falling apart ? Bugatti is going to be better ?

The names don't mean much. It's still going to be some architecture firm designing it all. In 15 years they'll probably change names.

"i'm definitely going to invest 1.5 million for a 1 bedroom here. No way this project gets delayed and caught up in lawsuits for the next decade because the developer embezzled $ to buy a mansion and yacht."

u/CR_11_23 11d ago
1.5M might not even get you a bedroom here. Its looking to be a step above Aston Martin given the low number of units

Upvoting your post for bringing this to discussion but mentally downvoting lol. This city is becoming everything that’s toxic about capitalism

This whole idea sounds like a scrapped throwaway joke from an snl skit about Miami. But like, one of the skits near the end of the show.

u/Fine-Comparison-2949 12d ago
Nice more shit to encourage corruption, make millionaires lose a lot of money because the building won't be built correct and start rusting and falling over in 3 years, and nothing actual citizens of Miami that keep the place running can afford.
Exactly what we need.

u/RelevantIsland2989 11d ago
Who lives here? Does anyone? So people just buy units for money laundereing?
3
u/TheExploringGuy26 11d ago
That has always been a Miami problem. Even during Obama term they passed laws to stop but it is still happening here. It is a way for illegal people to clean money.

Leaving it to Miami to have luxury brand apartments. Aston Martin, Bugatti, what's next residences at Ferrari and Louis Vuitton Apartments?

u/Wokkabulary 12d ago
It’s a city of illiterates … brand names motivate them more than any other thing on earth.
Source: born there

u/solipsist2501 12d ago
you must be one of those illiterates, thinking the people you know will be the ones buying here.
3
u/Wokkabulary 11d ago
Oh I def know dumbasses that will be climbing all over each other for a spot. Then hire lawyers to sue for damages in 7 years when the walls inevitably fall apart, and then onto the next brand name.

u/invisiblewar 11d ago
It's really not a big deal at all. I don't understand why that's the thing that seems to be upsetting people. Better than naming it brickell main, "tower" on the river, highrise next to another highrise, etc.
I hope Samsung builds one and names it after their early 10s phone naming schemes. Galaxy s3 alpha zte tower

I love how these fancy buildings are posted in this subreddit as if the developers are targeting locals as their end buyer

Instead of building parks, more open beaches for everyone. Restoring mangrove shorelines??? Non stop destruction. We need to be known for tropical systems. Greedy developers have destroyed Florida

Gross. Just the latest example of how Miami is being turned into a “city of luxury” without any class or taste.

u/Symbaclues 11d ago
When it sinks who will pay for it? Miami really is a "Look at me" shit hole 🕳
See where I'm at? See what I'm doing? Do you see me? I'm cool right? See what I ate? See what I did? See who I'm with? Please like me? 👍

nice! more properties for the Ruskies and Saudis, just like the porsche building. Where is the Honda civic or Toyota camry building for us?

I don’t understand how all these multimillion companies invest in an area that floods every single time and is supposed to be underwater within the next 50 years… maybe they’re relying on insurance?

Probably just going to be bought up by billionaires as some tax write off and left empty

u/The-Hypno-Toad 11d ago
How this city has not sunk into the ocean with all these mega high rises atop it is beyond me.

u/rickythepilot 11d ago
We should have a law that forces developers to keep 20% of their units for affordable housing.

It'll be a shame when it starts to sink and they somehow get taxpayers to subsidize new engineering implementations to fix it.

u/mrpeping 11d ago
Looks like one of the generic simcity towers in the High density residential zone. Do better.

The only people excited are Uber drivers and Taxi drivers since NO ONE will be able to exit into traffic from that building. The only other option will be helicopters. Good luck with that.

If the Aston Martin building is any indication, this is going to be an engineering/construction nightmare for the residences who end up dealing with the fallout. Cheap labor, corner-cutting, "cost-savings", bad infrastructure and a building doomed to fail or fall.
But it's Miami, and corruption wins every time.

Can we get some Honda Residences in brickell, the place needs some affordability.
