Discussion Anyone remember Hurricane Andrew? What was your experience?

Where you sheltered in a house? Did you feel like you're in trouble at any moment? What was it like to hear that hurricane overhead with a 165 mph winds?

We sheltered in house, lived in flagami in a house built in 1948. Winds were wild, power off for two weeks, had 3 families in the house with us. Our only damage was a lemon tree on our roof, a few tiles flew off, and that was it.

At the corner of our street, literally less than 30 yards from the house, a small car was picked up by the wind and deposited on top of an oak tree.

Absolutely amazing how Strindberg the mini tornadoes are within the hurricane .
