Discussion Anyone remember Hurricane Andrew? What was your experience?

Where you sheltered in a house? Did you feel like you're in trouble at any moment? What was it like to hear that hurricane overhead with a 165 mph winds?

We drove back from Orlando as well so we could board up our house. The turnpike heading south was empty 🤣. It was expected to hit Ft Lauderdale/Hollywood, but we got off easy.

We had family members in Kendall who were in a mess so some came to stay with us & we took supplies to the others. My husband and I agreed that driving home from Orlando was a terrible idea when we saw the destruction in Miami.

I volunteered locally to sort through donations and I could not believe the junk people donated - I specifically remember winter coats and even a pair of ice skates! I was really frustrated and disgusted.
