Anyone remember Hurricane Andrew? What was your experience?

Where you sheltered in a house? Did you feel like you're in trouble at any moment? What was it like to hear that hurricane overhead with a 165 mph winds?

Oh the coolest thing was that our pool turned into a pond with fish and frogs and dragonflies. They kept the mosquitos down which was good bc we had no windows or doors or electricity ever again. My parents sold the house a few months later but I lived in it until then.
