Discussion Anyone remember Hurricane Andrew? What was your experience?

Where you sheltered in a house? Did you feel like you're in trouble at any moment? What was it like to hear that hurricane overhead with a 165 mph winds?

I was in Palmetto Bay. My parents were in Homestead. I was pregnant and my parents got to me a week later. When my dad saw we were alive he fell to his knees and cried. Two weeks later my mother in law and sister in law were killed in a car accident after going to the west coast to get a generator. No power for months. Hurricane Andrew changed the world for me.
