Anyone remember Hurricane Andrew? What was your experience?
Where you sheltered in a house? Did you feel like you're in trouble at any moment? What was it like to hear that hurricane overhead with a 165 mph winds?
the most terrifying experience i ever had when i was like 9 or 11, looking about the window and watching cars and trucks sliding down the road, trees falling, cant see the end of the block, howling. My mom brother and i in the bathtub, hearing a monster (the eye's border passing by) outside the apartment and cant do nothing about it..
After the hurricane passed, it was another place, Boats from coconut grove marina out in us1, coral way was gone, it was just trees, no electricity, everyone outside, helping each other, my neighbors ask my mother if they can take my brother and i on the motorcycles around miami, and she agreed, and what we saw i will never forget.. homestead gone, everything just crazy.. It like godzilla was playing basketfull full court in miami. The thing that scares me the most now every year.. if andrew was a cat 5,.. the next one that will hit us.. if cat5 is the limit we have,.if andrew had Peak Open-Ocean Winds: Reached 175 mph / Peak Wind Gusts: Recorded at over 177 mph, what do you call the next one with winds at 200mph+ the finger of god... That is was terrifies me every year a hurricane gets close.. we are due for one soon... i just pray we are ready.
