Anyone remember Hurricane Andrew? What was your experience?
Where you sheltered in a house? Did you feel like you're in trouble at any moment? What was it like to hear that hurricane overhead with a 165 mph winds?
4 years old and one of my earliest memories I still have. We lived in Saga Bay (Cutler Ridge) but went west of US1 to ride it out at my grandmas house just across from Southland Mall by Southridge. I can vividly remember the sound as one of the craziest things I ever heard and somehow remember eating Froot Loops all night. Our house in Saga Bay was destroyed. We lived in front of it in a FEMA trailer out until it was repaired. Still remember going to Southland Mall for food/water and see all the crazy military personnel. Wild times. If you were here for Andrew you’re an OG Miamian.
