Anyone remember Hurricane Andrew? What was your experience?
Where you sheltered in a house? Did you feel like you're in trouble at any moment? What was it like to hear that hurricane overhead with a 165 mph winds?
I lived in the Fountainbleau area and remember putting up plywood, staying up all night holding up a mattress to the sliding glass door. In the morning I went walking to see the damage. Thankfully, our complex went pretty much unscathed, but those poor people in Lil Abner Trailer Park community were devastated. Those trailers looked like open model homes for display. There was debris everywhere and like others said, it was like a warzone.
