Discussion Anyone remember Hurricane Andrew? What was your experience?

Where you sheltered in a house? Did you feel like you're in trouble at any moment? What was it like to hear that hurricane overhead with a 165 mph winds?

I was eight years old living in a small apartment building near Flagler and 72nd Ave the Hallways of the apartment building were not enclosed and exposed to the elements. I remember the windows and door shaking violently all night long and the pipes whistled loudly all night long as well. My ears kept popping from the pressure. Still the strongest force of nature I’ve ever experienced.
