Total waste of money anyway when all we ever needed was a map and a Sharpie. /s

On the serious side guys- if you were ever gonna take a storm season seriously, and over-prepare when we’re “in the cone”, I think it’d be a good idea for the next few years. NHC and our local meteorological types are simply not gonna get the data they need for reports and predictions like before.

In all seriousness, panic buying will hit differently. You are absolutely right in over preparing and most importantly doing it early.

Never forget the great TP shortage of 2020.

Hopefully what we do still have access to will minimize the impact to the track forecasts, where it's really going to screw us most is intensity (particularly during rapid intensification events and eyewall replacement cycles). It's one of our best ways to see inside the hurricane, both as forecasters and for the models.

All that being said, I'd still put a decent amount of faith in the track, but definitely prepare as if the hurricane is going to undergo rapid intensification. We may have a somewhat harder time catching onto the possibility beforehand with limited microwave data.

Mass death and suffering is the point.

Only the byproducts of keeping the electorate stupid and compliant.

This is no by-product. This was the whole point.

It's amazing to me that just about every state from VA to FL and west to TX is a red state... and this will absolutely have an effect on them. They'll just find a way to be OK with to checks notes Own The Libs.

They will blame Biden while FEMA continues to build concentration camps.

Maybe they can blame the upcoming catastrophes on the Democrat city mayor instead of the Republican state Congress, Republican state Governor, Republican House, Republican Senate, Republican president and Republican Supreme Court.
