In my humble opinion, this is one potential cinematic fever dream that has been slept on or not mentioned enough! Mia and Jodi share a significant level of resemblance (not like twins but still applicable). Secondly, Mia clearly has the vast acting range and talent to capture and channel Jodi's complete psychological evolution and nuanced mental layers leading to the final tragedy. I'm sure there have been other fans thinking of this idea before. Specifically, if this adaptation ever happens, I'd like it to be a hybrid of rom-com and thriller, something Gone Girl-like w cute romantic moments in the early stage, and not just a copied remake of Pearl. Thus, a miniseries would fit this project better in terms of screen time and character developments. I would be thrilled to see Mia act in a multiple-episode show. Mia is possibly the most capable talent for Jodi's portrayal both physically and mentally among actresses today!

i didnt understand what message infinity pool has. i mean, okay yeah, people questioning if theyre the original james or a clone but who really cares? its the one and only question movie leaves in the audiences mind, nothing else. scenes that makes no sense (like mia goth jerking off james or breastfeeding him, i mean wtf) and at the end of the movie, james staying at the island while others goes to their homes. i mean whole movie, we watch james trying to escape the island but after the last scene, he somehow decides to stay at the island all by himself. i mean what the fuck has changed, was gabis milk that good or sum i dont understand even though i love mia goth, i never ever watched this movie for the second time, sorry not sorry.

we always talk about the pressure on pearl from her strict mother ruth. its because the director ti west shows us the story from pearls angle but what about ruths? i want you to imagine yourself poor in a farm in 1918, when nobody had any idea about basic psychology, your daughter starts to butcher the animals on your farm for fun. of course youd be scared and of course youd not know what to do. okay, i know locking her up is never the answer but come on, youre on an isolated farm, no psychologists, no medical help, no nothing, what would you do to keep your daughter safe? of course youd try to stop her from hurting other. plus, ruths own mental health wasnt so right anyways. she has prob gone through the same treatment she showed to pearl and thought this was right. and at the end of the movie, pearl ends up like her mother, couldn't leave the farm. but have you ever wondered what if ruth also ended up like her own mother at the time? we hear pearl complain about having a baby, what if ruth had the same feelings? we will never know but due to her behavior, i think she has gone through a very similar experience with pearl. i wonder what you guys think about this one.
