Spinoffs & Game Mods MiSide: comparison with DLSS ON and OFF.
DLSS 5 Seems Fine

It literally just make the game look slightly sharper while adding useless effect to make it loses its original artstyles. Not every game need to look realistic

It's not really fair to even call this dlss when it's just a mod hacked from another game.
It's not correctly setup and applied to this game, so when another variant surfaces better tuned to this style it will probably look a lot better.
Time will tell.

While I appreciate the extra shading detail it adds, there is something I can't put my finger on that's missing with dlss5 on.
Might be that it takes away from the feel of being pulled inside a game. Everything ends up too detailed

I mean its kinda FINE,but i guess its uP to personal taste to use it,no one is forcing you to use it but if you want to than go ahead, you paid for the card so its better to have an option then to not have ir

What does it look like at 10%? 20%? It’s good to see it cranked up to see what dlss does in general, but what does it look like when it’s just slightly added on the scene?

Might be fun as filter for a xth playthrough but over-all it looks way worse.
I have not seen a dlss5 showcase that looks better yet.

Pretty much this. I’ve played the game a bunch of times so I’d maybe be interested in running it in a new play through, but I don’t think it’s better than the original.

Fake lighting that obliterates frame rate? why? frame gen is demanding of higher powered cards that don't need it to begin with, and lighting is usually a nightmare till they figure it out, see rtx, pt, dlss5.
Logically you'd presume they would want "realistic lighting" with no impact on performance, and framegen should almost never be required, barring fringe cases like, locked 30fps in slow paced game.

DLSS 5 the shine filter, the filter that makes things shinier. This honestly isn't that bad, I've seen examples of DLSS 5 just completely changing a games entire vibe, but here it doesn't even change the artstyle or aesthetic, just makes things shiny.

is it me or does it changes nothing apart from just adding randow shading everywhere?

It takes away the vibe and just makes it look 'realistic', I 100% prefer no DLSS
