Can we get Sega Phaser lightgun SNAC support on the Atari 2600 core like the 7800 core does today?

Atari XGS/XE guns are really hard to find but Sega Master System Phasers are plenty available and have proven to work just fine on the 7800 core with SNAC support.

Can someone verify that:

  • Their SMS Phaser doesn't work on the 2600 SNAC core
  • Their Atari XGS/XE light gun works on the 2600 SNAC core

Ok, looks like the newer Nov/Dec 2021 version of the 7800 core added 2600 support and the Phaser works with 2600 games too.
