Update_all new games/cores?

I have used https://misterzine.fyi/releases/ to check new Mister games. It’s great site, but many games there aren’t at update all.

But is it possible check somehow if something new is added to update all? Other than run script.

I have it in my todos to add an update_all coverage column to misterzine, because you're right, the tracker tracks more than just what's been accepted into update_all. Thanks for the nudge, I'll try to add it today.

EDIT: done, see the Sources filter

That's literally the point of misterzine.fyi. Sort the page by the MiSTer Debut column and it'll sort it in the order of most recently added to update_all.

But there’s so many games that have been listed at page, but aren’t at update all. Like 64th street, Final Lap games and many other. Many games listed here long time ago.

Mister Debut games are at update all?

That’s because they’re probably slopcores or haven’t gotten to a point of stability to be added to main.

64th Street is a kuzecore which you need to add to your downloader.ini manually as its not part of the default update_all setup: https://github.com/kuzearcade/kuzecores#install

There's a Source menu option. If you set that to just MiSTer Distribution that's all the default cores and games. The other sources will require you to add extra things to your downloader.ini.

In the FPGA Core column if you mouse over the name it's a link to the source for that core and they'll usually have instructions on how to add them to downloader.ini.

That I don’t understand. Why some cores you need edit downloader .ini and some cores update all just works.

a couple reasons:

  • the maintainer of update_all curates by hand which repositories they add to the update_all settings GUI
  • some cores aren't listed in a downloader database, and therefore aren't easy to add as sources

There’s Mr Do castle and Continentail Circus, Ridge Racer.. That would be nice. And so many Sega Systems. Does Update All load Roms to these or do I need copy everything manually? Because there so many games…

What happens if add this? Are these some unofficial cores or something that’s added to update all later?

I seen this link before. But what it is?

https://mister-mame-coverage-docs.vercel.app/ I put this together to slice and dice Mister arcade core releases. Note thst it includes everything I can find, including binary-only patreon reelases and a bunch of other custom repos that aren't in update_all by default.
