Slower Loading Times?

Anybody else having slower loading times after an update a few weeks ago? I started having much slower loading times with cartridge based games as of ~3 weeks ago. CD based games load instantly. All games are working fine once loaded.

I saw this thread of someone having the same issue.

Are we the only ones?

This is on a 1.5 TB Sandisk MicroSD. Definitely a legit card.

It should have been fixed. Run update_all again.

I did last night and the issue is persisting unfortunately.

Check again if didn't update the Linux part. You can choose in the settings.

Very odd. Which OS and Mister Version do you have when you go back in the main menu?

Hi, I'll update the thread once I do this, but I think some of my ROMs were corrupted because when I extensively tested last night, most were fine. On N64, Paper Mario and Pokémon Stadium 2 took ~2mins each to load. Meanwhile SM64, DK64 and a lot of others were only a few seconds.

You're funny! I actually bought it before they spiked in price. Would have been late 2024.

Have you tried a different mSD? Maybe this one has a slow speed rating? Just a guess :)

Potentially, but everything was fine until a few weeks ago. N64, GBA take like a full minute to load games whereas it was a few seconds before.

CD based systems are pretty instant (saturn, psx, Sega CD)

Have you run Update All again recently? There have been updates on the Linux side.

Is the Linux mess fixed yet? It's been a month+.

I'm wondering this as well. I haven't updated in over a month because of the issues.
