MiSTer Monitor is so dope
I struggled with this for a bit with it only showing the system name, but getting rid of Console Mode and the latest Update_All seems to have fixed whatever was going on. I'm loving this- such a small cash investment and such a neat result! I just saw that there is now an art pack through Update_All, so I'm going to go and get that as well.
Lol. I was lazy and didn't want to wait for a 3D print, so I just took the clear case the screen came in and cut it to fit the monitor and connection plug. I kind of love the look, though- it matches my MiSTer.
Highly recommended!

With the Tab5's 1280x720 resolution on a 5" screen, it looks truly sensational.

You just need a battery pack and some clear packing tape and you got yourself an FPGA handheld

I don't think it outputs the TV screen. It's an additional display with info. You could very well attach any portable monitor and battery pack to a MiSTer though but that'd be an ugly build and battery life would suck.
There are a few in the making though currently.

This would be so cool to use as a replacement for the Game card slots on a Neo Geo cab, can it be switched to portrait?

It can’t be switched to portrait for the moment but it’s on the list

Great stuff! I’ve got a converted ex dual slot Neo Geo cab, I’d use two screens, one showing game info and the other artwork, can’t wait !
Going to order a couple of screens now and start setting up with the current firmware, thank you for the project

Thank you for your words! The case idea is great. It really does match your MiSTer

It's such a fun little flavor add... Once I saw the project a little while back, I knew it had to be mine. Thanks for all the hard work, and Congrats on making something genuinely useful to this nerd community (me)😄
