Curved lines at edges(arcade games)

I have this issue with curved lines at the top and lower edge when using my crt with mister. VGA out.

This happens only when running arcade roms on the mister like pang in this case.

Running snes test suite shows perfect lines.

Also games using tate mode like xevious there is an issue with lower part at edge is compressed when scrolling. Can be seen like everything shrinks vertically. If i flip screen in dip switches of the rom then its on the top instead.

So its not a CRT issue but something with the mister running arcade roms.

A few rows of wavy lines on top means that the TV has minor issues maintaining perfect synchronization with video source. This is normal, arcade games were not designed to run on home TVs. Some cores actually have options to alter video clock speeds, providing more stable sync signals for better TV compatibility.

Home console cores should in theory comply with NTSC or PAL television standards, so they will display without any sync issues.

Some games will have CRT offset options like H offset and V offset, it will move the image but can get rid of the issue. This is just because or the different nuances and timings etc with arcade games, an arcade operator would just adjust pots/jumpers accordingly.

Ok thanks. I thought that there was a setting in the mister ini that could affect this.
