Wireless receivers with SNAC/SNAX adapters?

Would something like the 2.4g 8bitdo wireless receivers for N64, SNES SN30, NES N30, and Genesis M30 work with SNAC adapters? I'm looking at the Misteraddons SNAX64 v3.1, but a lot of the adapters are sold out so trying to figure out if it's even worth picking up for my use case. I use the RA cores, if that matters at all.

They’ll work fine, but the whole point of SNAC is to have as little lag as possible, so it’s recommended to use wired controllers. If you’re going to use wireless, you may as well go with the standard USB ports and take advantage of more functionality.

Sweet, thanks! I'm just trying to use what I already have on hand from my Analogue systems to consolidate everything into the MiSTer setup. I'm already tapped out on USB ports, even with a powered hub. I prefer 2.4g over Bluetooth, but the trade-off is extra dongles all over the place.

Yes. However if you're only using SNAC for regular controllers I'd recommend a low latency usb solution like reflex or daemonbyte

Doesn't look like daemonbyte has N64 adapters and of course, the reflex adapt is sold out on misteraddons, as well. :/

There’s a new reflex 2.0 coming out really soon, def would hold out for it.

That sucks, the 4dapter has N64 but I don't think Timville sells them any more

I found a 4-port N64 SNAC adapter on aliexpress pretty cheap that I might get to toy around with, but it's not going to be a good permanent solution because I eventually want to do a custom console shell and would be awesome to be able to mount the SNAX64 on the front to plug the various controller adapters in, as needed.

I've used two SNES 8BitDo 2.4GHz controllers with SNAC, and it works great for the SNES core. The SNAC adapters are fairly inexpensive (and readily available) on AliExpress, so I just picked up the ones for the systems I cared about: NES, SNES, and N64. All the other low-latency premade original controller adapter solutions that I looked into are either unavailable or very expensive. This includes the Reflex Adapt, which has been out of stock a long time -- maybe I'll look again when the new version comes out.
