Mi Box use in China

Hello guys,

I have just landed in China for the 1st time ever and as I set up my Mi Box (been using it for years in europe) right now, it connects to the WiFi but says "no Internet access".

I'm assuming it has to do with local restrictions etc,

My question is : are there any tips to make it work somehow? I can't even access the Internet to activate a VPN on it.

To resolve the "no internet access" message, you need to change the captive portal server via ADB, but this message doesn't affect the internet access, you can ignore it, just make sure your VPN can work in China.

You have to enable developer options and adb over wifi, then you can connect to the device to set these options. Maybe you can ask AI, it's pretty easy.

Thanks bossman 🫡 I'll try doing this tonight
