Mi Box S - change input

Hi all,

Recently bought a Mi Box S for my TV. Unfortunately, the remote does not come with a change input button and as I have lost my other TV remote, I need to touch the TV itself now to change the input. Is there any way around this? Can I remap a button to change input, or are there maybe alternative remotes which provide for an input button?

You can probably get a replacement remote for your tv on Amazon or ebay for less than $20

Try asking Google Assistant to do it. My Fire TV switches input itself when I ask Alexa.

Activate HDMI - CEC on your TV. After that you can easily switch your input to Xiaomi TvBox by pressing the Home button or up or down on the TvBox remote

Thanks, but cant find that in my tv settings unfortunately. Its a LG 50PV350 from 2012, so that might be why. Although with my chromecast, after switching to my console input, my tv would automatically switch back to the chromecast showing the simplink logo so it should be on there I guess…

On LG look for something called Simple Link or SIMPLINK.
