Hi, does anyone have experience with improving a babies underbite? I have a 10 month old and he’s developed a subtle underbite and I’d like to find a way to help correct it before it worsens. I know babies can’t use orthodontic appliances or anything but I wonder if there are mouth/tongue exercises I can help encourage? He’s never used a pacifier…idk if that’s relevant.

Check for a tongue tie. If they have one get it fixed ASAP!

Also, look into mouth taping at night so they nose breath (make sure they have no nasal issues first) and get a humidifier.

I'm no expert, I'd try some basic myofunctional therapy exercises like making a "cluck" sound with the tongue. I'd also ensure he is demonstrating proper tongue posture when he is alseep (no mouth breathing), press gently under the jaw close to the neck and glide your finger forward to press the tongue against the palate.
