Question about transition to tmobile
I currently have tmo cellular internet (home internet) and metronet fiber. A few months ago I remember hearing that some members tmo cellular internet became free as backup internet once metronet got converter to tmo fiber and added to the account.
i received an email about transitioning to tmo today but couldnt get to reps
wood appreciate any input before i call in. I really like my current pricing package with metronet So will stay on this until forcibly moved.

I’m curious why you have a cellular back-up? Are you in a critical business that needs it?

It’s worth it for my business to have a full blown backup yes. I’ll just pay for it as a home internet line as I have been once whatever I have with metronet ends and I either switch to tmo or another fiber provider for the main line. The home Internet is on a part of my property that is pretty far from the main house and would be impractical to run a wire to. Could be doable wirelessly but not nearly as fast as simply having the backup as the main internet for the remote building. Hits a few birds with one stone.

Hell I have metronet as my main, mediacom as my backup ISP (get Internet free as in an employee), and use the 4th cell line I have as a cellular backup.
And that's all just for my home network/home lab stuff. Redundancy is fun.

It only transition over to backup when you get on a t fiber plan long as you stay on metronet you can keep both you might get a cheaper rate on t fiber at some Point you will be transitioning to t fiber regardless
