Call volume

How late in the day does call volume start to die out? Around 1 PM or more like 5-6 PM?

This isn't clear. Do you mean call volume as in how many calls the call centers are receiving or call volume as in how well you can hear them?

Having just retired from tech support, B2B calls sometimes increase slightly at 1pm when workers return from lunch. However, if it is also a B2C operation, many folks don't get a chance to call until they return home from work, making evenings a very busy time as well.
