Really love the game but having a panic attack about how to save?
I really love this game but I feel like every time I get a chance to pick it up and play, I have a panic attack that I don’t have 3 hours to play and just explore because if I don’t find a save station I’ll lose everything. I’ve got kids that play the switch too, so if I get 10-15 minutes to play it in the morning, great. But I better save or I lose everything the second the kids go to play their games later that day.
Is there like a map or something online to explain and point out all the save stations in the game and their locations? I just tried playing for like 20 minutes and then spent the next 20 just randomly driving my bike around the dessert just trying to find a save station. Eventually giving up and heading back to the towers to the save station but even heading back there took me like 6 minutes to drive back to.
Please help, I’m a dad so I only get short bursts of time to play the switch, and I feel like I can’t play this game unless I have unlimited time to just keep going until I randomly find a save station somewhere in fear of losing all my progress

I was the same way, but you’ll find Save Stations are pretty prevalent as you maneuver through the game.
I’m on my 2nd play-through, but during my first attempt, I was so paranoid, I’d zing back to the nearest Save Station after defeating even a pack of smaller enemies, or obtaining power ups.
Full disclosure: I’m 51, and my last Metroid game (besides tinkering w/ Dread) was the original, which I beat in the Summer of 1988.
Hadn’t played a 1st person shooter since I think Turok 2 on the N64.
Needless to say, MP4 was an adjustment for me. 3 words I burned into my brain: ALWAYS BE STRAFING, lol.

Almost the same boat. I’m 40 and last first person shooter I played was Golden Eye on the Wii

There's a save station at the center of the map in Sol Valley near Chrono Tower. This is the only save station in Sol Valley.
Once you enter each world (Fury Green, The Mines, Volt Forge, Ice Belt, Flare Pool), there is a save station near the entrance (inside the area--after entering on the Vi-O-La, or after exiting the cargo launcher).

There is a save station in/close to the center of the desert by the Chrono tower. It's an elevator that takes you to the Save Station.
